Report of the 3rd ocean plastics research society in Environmental and Food Unit

Marine Science Group from Environment and Food Unit held the third internal ocean plastics research society on December 18th.

The aim of this society series is to facilitate the exchange of information regarding ocean plastic research, and the Marine Science Group from the Environment and Food Unit has been organizing it since this year.

We invited Dr. Dai-ichiro Kato from Kagoshima University, who introduced mainly two approaches for recycling Nylon Resource by chemically decomposing with enzymes and creating an easily recyclable next-generation nylon.

Dr. Yingjun An and Dr. Adchara Padermshoke, Research Center For Negative Emissions Technologies, Kyushu University also shared each research project.

The participants from various research fields had numerous questions and opinions, and the event concluded successfully.
