Unit

Among the many different social issues that exist today, we have set decarbonization, medicine and health, and the environment and food as entry points where Kyushu University should take the lead, leveraging its strengths and distinguishing characteristics and open, dynamic research across a wide range of fields. To approach for social issues effectively connecting with the different units and engaging regional stakeholders, we have established the Think Tank Unit as the core entity responsible for driving our efforts towards realizing an ideal future society by designing the processes to achieve it.
In each unit, we form research groups based on individual goals, which interact with each other to collectively work towards the unit's overarching objectives. To ensure we're on track, we regularly monitor and visualize the progress of each research group and the unit as a whole and strategically allocate resources to accelerate research as necessary.
