The first research in Think Tank Unit was held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Ohashi Campus (also online).
In solving problems, the Think Tank Unit adds knowledge from the field of design to the diverse fields of natural science and humanities and social sciences, designs the ideal future society, and proposes solutions to various social issues and process designs. We aim to do this.
At this first research, we invited Mr. Takehiko Minato, a famous screenwriter and part-time lecturer at our university, to talk about how he created stories for the yet-to-be-discovered future between expression and responsibility. He spoke about the responsibility that comes with the act of “drawing a story” as a person of expression.
In the second half of research, a crosstalk was held with the participation of Professor Yoshito Ogata, Professor Toru Koga, and Associate Professor Yuichiro Nagatsu from Kyushu University’s Faculty of Design. Mr. Minato also answered questions from the participants during the Q&A session.
