Integrated Initiative for Designing Future Society was established in April 2022 at Kyushu University with the goal of generating integrative knowledge necessary for solving societal challenges and contributing to social transformation. One of its units, the ‘Environment and Food Unit,’ aims to address environmental issues such as climate change, air and ocean pollution, as well as the challenge of ensuring a sustainable supply system for safe and secure food.”
In this symposium, as a kick-off event, we will introduce an overview of the ‘Environment and Food Unit’ and its initiatives. Additionally, through lectures by external speakers, we will facilitate mutual understanding of research topics, exchange of ideas, and explore possibilities for interdisciplinary research collaborations.
