We Participated in Agriculture WEEK at Makuhari Messe!

Kyushu University exhibited at Agriculture WEEK (J-AGRI), held at Makuhari Messe from October 7 to 9, 2026, featuring a booth and a seminar. The booth welcomed approximately 130 visitors, while around 100 people attended the seminar, making the event a greater success than initially anticipated. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who visited us.
Agriculture WEEK is a major annual event that brings together approximately 30,000 participants from across the agricultural sector, including producers, companies, agricultural corporations, startups, and local governments.
At this year’s event, we introduced our proposal, “The ONE-Agri System: Balancing the Environment and Productivity” released in February to promote the realization of a sustainable food supply system. We also showcased Kyushu University researchers and their research related to the proposal. In addition, we presented the ONE-Agri System Research and Development Platform, established to translate the proposal into concrete action under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)’s industry–academia–government collaboration framework, “Platform for the Integration and Utilization of Knowledge.” We also invited partners to participate in the platform’s activities.
Our booth attracted many visitors interested in Kyushu University’s food-related research, and we received a wide range of valuable comments and inquiries from those interested in joining the platform. In particular, visitors expressed expectations such as, “We hope the university will take the lead in shaping the future of food production from its neutral position,” and “We hope advanced science and technology will help solve the various challenges facing the food sector.” These encouraging comments provided strong motivation for our future activities and reinforced our commitment to this initiative.
Moving forward, through the ONE-Agri System Research and Development Platform, we will deepen collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, promote further research and development, and work toward the practical implementation of the resulting knowledge and innovations in society.
Further information about the platform and its activities will be published on this website. We invite you to visit the site for future updates.
