Professor Yushi Ishibashi and Associate Professor Mitsuru Tanaka of the Environment and Food Unit have been selected for the FY2025 “Startup Comprehensive Support Program (SBIR Support),” a grant program affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Their selected research themes are also related to the SIF (Social Impact Framework) Program — the Sustainable Food Resource Design Program — which was launched this fiscal year in Integrated Initiative for Designing Future Society. With both researchers being selected simultaneously, the social implementation of research and development in the field of sustainable food resources is expected to accelerate. Also, a project by Dr. Kazunori Matsuo, Lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Cultural Studies, Kyushu University, has also been selected.
